Jerry & Jane Casey

The Caseys are very excited to be serving with Kingdom Air Corps. With over 25 years serving in aviation ministry, they are glad to share their experiences with the next generation of missionary pilots and their families.

Jerry and Jane both earned their pilots’ licenses at the age of 17 in Greeley, Colorado. They were married in 1974 and went through college together. Jerry received a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, and Jane a BSN degree in Nursing. Their careers began in the Greeley area. Jane worked in nursing and Jerry kept busy working with a dairy cattle business. He was also a sales representative for dairy equipment, and later a flight instructor. Jerry went on to start an air charter company. It was during this time that they started their family of four boys.

In 1994 their whole family went on a 2-week, short-term mission trip to Romania. This sparked a desire to be full-time missionaries in aviation. For two years they were part of a mission organization with a desire to take small planes to Russia and serve the missionaries in far east Russia. That was Jerry’s first opportunity to meet Dwayne King. This was one of their first foundational lessons in ministry. God showed them that they were asking God to bless their desires instead of asking God to show them where He was working and join Him there. He closed those doors for going to Russia but opened the doors to go to Prairie Bible College with Jerry serving as the director of the mission aviation program. God had them there for three years and they learned a lot of valuable lessons about missions, ministry, and the aviation community in missions.

After three years in Canada, God took them to Uganda, Africa for two years to serve with MAF Europe. Jerry worked as Program Manager to an international and Ugandan staff. His main task was to bring the team together in unity for ministry. Jane served along with the other missionary wives in numerous roles. Jon and James, as teen-agers, were very much a part of the ministry.

After two years in Uganda, God brought them to Alaska to step back into a flying role with InterAct Ministries based in Palmer, Alaska. The first year in Alaska they both attended Alaska Bible College, and each received a one-year Bible certificate. It was a good year to refocus from management back to flying full-time for Jerry. They ran a guest house facility in Palmer that served people from a variety of ministries in Alaska and many short-term teams that came to the state. Jerry flew a Cessna 205 out to the villages to encourage, support, and supply missionary families in the bush. Jane loved the hospitality and decorating the facility as it expanded and grew.

After 5 years, God moved them from InterAct Ministries to SEND North. Since both are church planting organizations the purpose and focus were similar. The difference being that Jerry was now Chief Pilot for Send North. Initially, he served with 5 other pilots and 3 airplanes. He started out flying a Cessna 182 and then a newly acquired A-36 Bonanza. Jane enjoyed traveling with Jerry out to the bush villages and doing hospitality out of their home in both Glennallen and Anchorage. After 13 years with SEND North the mission grew to 11 pilots and 6 airplanes with hopes of a second Bonanza soon to be added.

With over 11,000 hours total time and over 4000 hours of flight time in Alaska, God opened doors recently for Jerry to go back to the flight training aspect of aviation. Through KAC, Jerry can pass on his years of experience both with Alaskan flying as well as ministry to missionaries in remote areas. Jane loves doing hospitality and can continue doing that out of their home and passing on her life experiences to young families as they enter a career in ministry.

They are excited for this new chapter in their lives.
