His Steadfast Love

Dwayne and I arrived at King Ranch in the wee hours of Sunday, May 12, thrilled to be back! A few hours later, we reunited with friends at church and gave an update to our church family. We are thankful for their prayers and continued support of Kingdom Air Corps throughout the long, winter months. And not just theirs, of course; we are truly blessed with supporters all over the United States and in many other countries whose continual and consistent care and concern for this ministry make it possible to continue.

We kicked the week off Monday morning with two days of staff meetings; eighteen of us met in our home to recap our winter months, plan our summer months, and enjoy fellowship and prayer together. Students who had been accepted for summer missionary flight training arrived Wednesday and Student Orientation was held Thursday and Friday. It was a whirlwind week of activity for which we are deeply thankful to our faithful Lord who has allowed us the privilege of serving in this ministry.

Today, as I write, I see out my window new green growth on the trees. It’s especially beautiful on the tips of the evergreens, who have held their needles all winter through harsh weather and bitter temperatures. The seasonal cycles show us that he is faithful to us through all of our seasons of life. He does not abandon us in our winters and he brings forth new growth in his time. I am reminded of his words in Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
